At least, it didn&#8217;t happen the way we had planned. No visit to grandma and grandpa because, like the rest of the Netherlands, grandma was also struck by a severe cold.Suddenly, the afternoon was free of appointments. Time to get out, as the weather finally allows for it. I had known about a group of long-eared owls somewhere nearby for a long time, but I had never found them before. I simply hadn&#8217;t found the exact tree because now that I&#8217;ve found them, I can&#8217;t imagine not finding them earlier! I estimate that there were easily 10 long-eared owls in one tree.
