Although I\u2019m not usually someone who chases bird alerts \u2014 no matter how rare \u2014 I couldn\u2019t resist this time. After all, the Eempolders are practically around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After some searching among the common snipes, the marsh sandpiper eventually showed itself very well. Foraging in the shallow water, it even came a bit closer. The light was quite challenging, but through the binoculars I got excellent views.
