Winter is still in full swing, but the sun is already beginning to bring a hint of warmth. Earlier, I spotted a calling black woodpecker in this area, and today I\u2019m hoping to see it again. As I walked through the forest, I heard rustling nearby. Two squirrels were playfully chasing each other\u2014could these be the first signs of spring?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On my way back, I passed a spot where I\u2019ve often seen a kingfisher. This time, it perched perfectly in the sunlight. A beautiful sight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
