The tawny owls—two of them this time—are back in their familiar spot where they’ve been seen for years. Still, it’s always a surprise whether they’ll be there. The last time I passed by, the owl wasn’t in its usual place, but today I was lucky—they were both sitting together in the chimney.
On the way back home, we took a short drive across the heath, and a goshawk flew right toward us — a nice little bonus.
